Snapshot of Croatia: A Peek into Palmižana
Visit this uninhabited Croatian island to ‘unplug’ and reconnect with nature.
Just south of Hvar is a group of islands so under-the-radar, the only traffic you’re likely to find will be hikers on footpaths and boats coming from the marina. The Paklinski Islands, filled with secret coves and swimming spots, is a favorite summer escape among locals for its calm atmosphere and sunny beaches.
Here, we’ll give you a peek at some of our own favorite spots on this little oasis:
Don’t forget your towels and swimsuits so you can relax on the dock in between exploring nearby trails and hidden coves.
Aside from limestone cliffs, Palmizana is filled with exotic flora and fauna, colorful, artfully designed buildings, and even a botanical garden.
Aside from walking trails, beaches and gardens, Palmizana is also home to a marina, open from March until the end of October. The mild weather of the Adriatic Coast is warm enough for swimming and enjoying the beach through fall.
As with all the vacations we plan, we love customizing each experience to your interests. We can show you around Palmizana and the Paklinski Islands with any itinerary you choose. If you like this scenery, we recommend starting with these journeys:
